Not sure if other adapters would have the same problem. I’m buying a few more here because I can’t find them locally – they were once available in Walmart. The driver it ships with and is guc23a for download seemed outdated for the Mac. I contacted the manufacturer who tried to assist over the phone but had no luck and then had no answers either!

USB to Serial RS-232 Adapter
Now that the driver issues are sort out, it looks like it’s working great. USB type ‘A’ male. Had to go to the mfgers site to get the driver just follow the link in the product descdownloaded it, installed, plugged ro the Converter and it worked, presto.
I’m using it with Win XP Pro. Running adqpter software on it now to talk to an embedded PIC, kbaud, with no problems! Enter new zip code to refresh estimated delivery time. Does not work with Windows 7 OS.
