I uninstalled the two IDE channels and after restarting the computer, the cd drive came up as as ‘new hardware’.
As for your comment on why the world is divided into regions, firstly, I feel it’s a matter of principle to try and get around matshita ujda740 locking. Sorry I’m matshita ujda740 novice with all this. It was when I followed the trouble shooting instructions. Best of continued luck.
